Phil was born on November 25, 1932, at the Flower Hospital in Tulsa, OK, to Floren and Lorraine Buker. After school he went to work for American Airlines before taking leave to serve in the Navy and Navy Reserve. In 1953 he married Marlene Poston, and they became the parents of three children, Dennis, Denise, and DeAnna. He returned to American Airlines in 1955, where he worked for a total of 40 years before retiring in 1992. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed camping trips and travel with his family, making a lot of fond, loving, and fun memories. He and Marlene continued to travel even after he retired.

Phil is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marlene Buker, daughter Denise Harness and husband Mike, daughter DeAnna Raymond and husband John, four grandchildren, Adam Buker, Jason Buker, Alicia Gustafson and Emily Harness, and three great-grandchildren, Greyson, Charlotte, and Jase. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floren and Lorraine Buker, his brother Mike Buker, and his son Dennis Buker.

He was a loving husband and a wonderful daddy, which he is called even to this day, and which is reserved for a very special few. He also loved his Scottish Terriers, Mickey, Mac, and Katie, and little Wally, who loves and misses him.

Phil will always be loved and dearly missed by his family.
