Phillip Lawrence Day
January 28, 1923 - April 10, 2015

Phillip Lawrence Day was born on January 28, 1923 to Raymond and Helen Day in Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Central High School and served in the US Army Air Corp /Air Force during WWII as a bomber pilot flying his own plane home at the end of the war. He was President of Magneto Ignition Co. (MICO) until his retirement in 1990. He was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Jeanne Ross and Marge Stonaker, loving companion Sarah Jones, sons Larry, Robert and Christopher and daughter Bette Copeland. He is survived by daughter Debby Volkman and husband Emory of Laurel, MD, son Patrick and wife Leslie of Sarasota, FL, daughter, Peggy Morrow and husband Brad of Tulsa, daughters in law, Sandy Grigsby Day, Peggy Kennedy Day and Barbara Woolsey Day of Tulsa, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Monday, April 13, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK with a Rosary Service following at 7 PM at Moore's Southlawn. Mass will be at Christ the King on Tuesday the 14th at 10:00 A.M.
