Dr. Philip H. Murta, 52, died suddenly Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Philip was born in Fort Smith, AR, October 2, 1960 to Ward and Phyllis (Few) Murta.
He had a career as a beloved teacher before becoming an even more beloved physician whose hand and heart touched thousands.
He and Dr. Natalie (Newby) Murta were married and shared careers, children and a loving home. He was an avid cyclist, music lover and a dedicated father.
Philip is survived by his wife, Natalie, his mother, Phyllis, Children: Evan Murta, Stillwater, OK, Michael Winkler, Middlebury, VT, Hley Murta, Norman, OK, Thomas Winkler, Tulsa, OK, Isabella Murta, Tulsa, OK, Ethan Murta, Tulsa, OK. Also survived by one brother: William Murta and sister: Melnie Murta. Preceded in death by his father, Ward.
Private family services will be held.
In liew of flowers family suggests donations to be made to American Heart Association.
