Obituary

Phillis June Goodner, 83, of Tulsa, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at home. She was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Briartown, to Paul and Bonnie Starr. She was married to Phillip C. Goodner for 60 years, and he survives her.

Phillis was a member of Good News Church in Catoosa and was primarily a housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a faithful volunteer at her church, quietly living out the commands of Christ. She was selfless, always putting others first, no matter the cost. She had a forgiving heart, never held a grudge, and never brought up past hurts. At various times, she worked at Catoosa Daycare, a print shop, and at Hard Rock Casino; however, more than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who called her Nanny.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Carla June (Mark) Kephart, Annette Arlene (Loyd) Mosier and Stephanie Lynn (Nicole) Goodner; 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Benjamin, Samuel, and Sarah Mosier, and Hannah Mosier Cummin, Owen and Abby Kephart; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne (Rose) Starr; and a sister, Patty Goad.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leo Starr and Buddy Nail.

Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, at Moore Southlawn Chapel in Tulsa. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Jan. 2, 2026, at Good News Church in Catoosa. Graveside Service will follow at 2 PM at Coleman Cemetery in Porum.
