Phyllis Ann Cates (Perez), was born on November 23,1941, to William and Josephine Perez, in Tulsa, OK. She departed this life on January 3, 2020. She was 78 years old.

Following her graduation from Holy Family High School, Phyllis worked as a ward clerk at St. John Hospital. During her marriage, she and her husband, Benny, owned and operated "Bear Turquoise Gallery" and "The Aquarium Shop." Most recently, she worked as a cashier at Christy's Restaurant.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Cates; parents, William and Josephine Perez; and niece, Lisa Perez.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Perez; brother, Martin Perez and wife, Linda; daughter, Denise McClarrinon and husband, Melvin; grandsons, Ben McClarrinon and wife, Samantha, and Robert McClarrinon; great-grandson, Benny McClarrinon; nieces, Julie Thomas and husband, Aaron, Jennifer Poplin and husband, Lance, and Darla Tuttle; great-nieces and great-nephews, Hannah, Marissa, Tristan, Olivia, Nathan and Elise; sister-in-law, Wanda Ramsey; many nieces and nephews by marriage; and special friend, Jimmie Thompson.

Although, we will no longer enjoy the pleasure of her company, Phyllis will live forever in the hearts and memories of those who knew and loved her.
