Phyllis Jean Brandon Cazenave was born on March 31, 1927 in Topeka, Kansas to the late Clifford and Casle Brandon who both preceded her in death. She was the oldest of two children: brother, Curtis C. Brandon, who also preceded her in death. She died on Wednesday, January 6 at the age of 93.
Phyllis attended school in Topeka. Her senior year she was crowned queen at Phyllis Wheatley High School where she was an active leader and considered to be very charming and attractive.
On September 12, 1958, she married James Chester Cazenave in Los Angeles, California. Prior to this union, Phyllis was married to the father of her daughter, Sherylene Turner.
Phyllis retired from the City of Los Angeles as a secretary at Los Angeles Health Department. After she and Chester both retired, they moved to Tulsa sometime in 1993.
Before her illness, Phyllis loved cooking, gardening, and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Cherishing her loving memory, she leaves her husband Chester and daughter Sherylene as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14th at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15th at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
