CODE, Phyllis C., 90, of Tulsa, got her angel wings on Monday, July 28, 2014.
She passed away in her sleep surrounded by family and the love of her friends and
family. Phyllis was born August 2, 1923, married to William R. Code on October 29, 1942. After 40 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on January 19, 1982.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by fourteen brothers and sisters.
She is survived by children, Cathy McKim, Bruce Code, Carol Bennett and
Elizabeth Kulakowski; grandchildren, Tricia Herndon, Justin Code, Kristen Code,
and Karalyn Code; great-grandchildren, Kameron Code and William Scott Lack.
Phyllis worked for ten years at Oral Roberts University as a prayer counselor, she
also had her own home daycare and helped to raise 30 plus children in the way of the Lord. She also served as nursery coordinator at Will Rogers United Methodist Church for 17 years.
Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st
From 5-8PM. Services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Will Rogers United Methodist Church and will be followed immediately by graveside
services at Floral Haven Cemetery. There will be luncheon at Will Rogers
United Methodist Church after the graveside service, all are invited. Please
bring a pot luck dish and attend, to celebrate the life of Phyllis C. Code. Family suggests contributions be made to Gideons International, www.gideons.org < http://www.gideons.org >.
