Although petite in stature, Phyllis C. Corral loomed large in our hearts. She was born June 29, 1920 in Corydon, Iowa to Fermon Oscar and Hazel Mary (Gillman) Reuter. Phyllis transitioned from this life on Sept. 15, 2016 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 96.
She was born and raised in rural Iowa. On March 14, 1953, Phyllis married Francis S. Corral at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, JA. They moved with their three young children to Tulsa in 1962 into the family home in Holliday Hills. Phyllis worked as an accountant for Sun Co. until 1981.
Phyllis was very kind and greatly loved. Her hobbies included growing beautiful garden flowers and taking, sharing and displaying photographs. She was a sweet, generous person who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband of over 50 years Francis; sister Flossie Snyder; and 2 brothers-in-law Harold Byers and Jack Snyder. Phyllis is survived by: her sister Ferma Byers of Sealy, TX; her 3 children: Dr. David Corral of Ft. Worth, TX; Elisa Olive of Katy, TX; and John (Connie) Corral of Broken Arrow, OK; 6 grandchildren: Michelle (Ben) Watts and Jennifer Tremaine of Katy; Emily and Ashley Corral of Broken Arrow; Vadim Jegorov and Loren Corral of Ft. Worth; 3 great-granddaughters: Emma, Hope, and Abbey Watts of Katy; 3 nieces: Joan Jarvis of Peoria, AZ; Cheri (Rich) VandeVorde of Paradise, TX; and Vicky Harris of Houston, TX; 1 nephew: Mark (Kerry) Snyder of Glendale, AZ.
Viewing will be Friday, Sept. 23, 12 Noon til 8 P.M., at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. A memorial service celebrating Phyllis' life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Tulsa. Memories may be shared
