Phyllis Joan Koors was born March 13, 1944, in Westport Indiana and went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2024.
Phyllis was the first child of Clarence ("Doc") and Helen Murdock. She grew up in Westport and Columbus before landing in Greensburg Indiana along with her two brothers, William ("Bill") and Gary Murdock and her sister Barbara ("Barb") Meyerrose. It was in Greensburg where she caught the eye of Thomas ("Tom") Koors. They were married in 1965 and began their new adventure together by moving to San Antonio Texas. There they had their first child, Michelle, in 1968 followed by their son, Scott, in 1970.
The family was always on an adventure moving from San Antonio to Temple and then to Albuquerque before making their final stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Phyllis was always a hard-worker, she started her career at the Corps of Engineers and then joining Kimberly-Clark in 1989.
Phyllis was a "go-getter", and always eager to try new things. She loved shopping and decorating the house as well as interacting with her friends at church. On the weekends, if she wasn't flying around in Tom's plane, they could be found square-dancing with the Claremore Twirlers. She was lucky to travel across the world together with Tom, friends and family.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Helen Murdock and here loving husband Tom. She is survived by her brothers, Bill, Gary and her sister Barb; daughter Michell Kidd and husband Darren, son Scott Koors and wife Kris; grandchildren Jordan Ragan, Cory Mann, and Kimmie Koors; great-grandchildren, Olivia Mann and Peyton Ragan.
Proverbs 31:31
"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
We will miss you mom, with all our love...
