Phyllis Jean "PJ" Shepard, 71, Tulsa resident, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023. PJ was born January 7, 1952, to John Edward Shahan and Clara Jo (Ketchum) Shahan in Tulsa, OK. She was a member of Braden Park Baptist Church and sang in the church choir. PJ belonged to the Quilting Group - Yanush, OK, and enjoyed sewing, fishing and her cat named "Issie." PJ worked in the medical field. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Elroy Shahan. PJ is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Bennie Shepard, of the home; two sons, Brian Shepard and wife, Melissa of Broken Arrow, OK, and Jeremy Shepard of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Jennifer McGuay and husband, Richard of Stillwater, OK; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one sister, JoEllen Drisko and husband, Mike of Lexington, KY. Memorial Contributions may be made to Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Charity, Braden Park Baptist Church Library Fund, or Braden Park Baptist Church Music Department.
