Phyllis Carey Bales (Hurley) was born on May 26, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and laid to rest September 8, 2022.
As Queen Elizabeth II of England was a matriarch to her people, so was Phyllis Carey Bales a matriarch to her people in the community, family and friends alike.
She is survived by her three children, Jamie McCaslin Harry, Carla Renee Brooks, Mark Philip Bales, and 5 grandchildren: Courtney Renee Bales, Dylan Kent Harry, Lilian Paige Smith, Markie Sue Cochran, Cole Cameron Brooks, and one great granddaughter Violet Onajaa Renee Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews, she was preceded in death by her parents Carey Harrision Hurley and Lorena Thompson Hurley, and beloved husband Carl Bales Jr., brother Arron Downs Hurley sisters LInda Headrick, and Lorena Lunsford.
Phyllis was a real estate salesperson and real estate entrepreneur for over 50 years in Sand Springs, Oklahoma with Terry Gartside and Associates, now Coldwell Banker.
Memorial Service 10am, Saturday, September 24th at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial Dr. Tulsa, OK
