Cordell, Rachel Lou, 83 of Tulsa passed away Monday, March 23, 2015. She was born May 25, 1931 in Sallisaw, OK to Henry W. and Ida Lee Moore. Rachel was valedictorian of Sallisaw High School and Oklahoma A & M College then went on to teach home economics at Hamilton Junior High, Central High School and Foster Jr. High. Rachel was the youngest and last survivor of 14 children. She never missed her son Scott's ball games and enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Will Rogers Methodist Church and presently attends Garnett Assembly of God Church. Cody and Mica-Jo called her "Maw" and MacKenzi called her "MooMaw".She was a 25 year breast cancer survivor. She is survived by son Scott and his wife Lisa Cordell, grandson Cody Cordell, granddaughter Mica-Jo Cordell, great granddaughter MacKenzi Cordell. Preceded in death by parents, husband Lester Cordell and her siblings. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to any breast cancer foundations.
