RACHEL NICOLE SWETNAM

Rachel was loaned to us starting 01/10/1992 until she died in an accident and was claimed by God on 05/14/2013, on a beautiful Tuesday evening. In her short time here on earth she accomplished amazing things. Rachel was a 2010 graduate of Cascia Hall Preparatory school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had just completed her Junior year at the University of Arkansas where she was majoring in Apparel Studies with a minor in Chinese?(with a southern accent) strange combination you might think, but Rachel loved Chinese and knew it would pay off in the fashion industry.
Rachel and our family spent her first sixteen years in Dyersburg, Tennessee where she was a cheerleader and even after our move, she maintained many friendships there.
In 2010 Rachel was Miss Teen Oklahoma, probably the first with a Tennessee accent. Her future was very bright as well. She was looking forward to spending the summer in Los Angeles doing an internship with some very popular designers, and had landed a small role in a movie to be filmed in Fayetteville just a few weeks away.
Rachel was blessed with a personality and smile that was impossible to forget, if you've ever met her you would know what I mean. She loved young people and had a special soft spot for older ones. She was a gift from God, taken too early. She had a strong faith and is most certainly wearing her wings as this is written......Rachel will be excited about that.
Rachel is survived by her mother, Janet, her father Jeff, and her sister Sarah, who miss her desperately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Tri Delta sorority fund for St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital in Memphis. Rachel will really like this.
