Obituary

Raylene Barclay, 90, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on the morning of June 23, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born April 17, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bell Fine and Ray Cook. She grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Webster High School. Raylene married Phil Wilkerson and together they had Cynthia (Wilkerson) Afeld and Pamela (Wilkerson) Brown. Phil and Raylene's marriage ended, and Raylene remarried Robert Barclay and had a daughter, Robyn (Barclay) Bynum. Phil married Colleen and the four of them worked together to support the three girls. Raylene and Robert were lifelong members of First Christian Church in Tulsa; they sang in the choir together and taught classes. Her Sunday school class Double Ring had over 50 members that remained close friends over the years. Raylene worked as an office manager in pediatric dentistry for over 33 years. Raylene had an opportunity to work in an office and developed a friendship with Dr. Ronald Winder through the years as the practice grew, and the staff all continued to remain close and care for each other.

Raylene will be remembered for too many things to list today but a few that need to be mentioned are her faith, passion for dancing and love for traveling, especially beaches and to Italy. Raylene's generous heart and nature have touched so many lives and if you can take anything away from today it's to be kind because you never know what tomorrow will bring. She loved to play games such as spades, bridge and skip-bo. She loved square dancing, General Hospital. Raylene loved her family, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids more than anything!

She was preceded in death by her parents Bell (Fine) and Ray Cook, three bothers: Clifford, Earl and Kenneth, husband Robert W. Barclay and daughter Jill, In-Laws, Harley and Norma, sister-in-law Norma Lea, and nephew Tom Hayward.

Those she leaves behind include: three daughters: Cindy and husband Tim Afeld, Pam and husband Charlie Brown; Robyn and husband Derriel Bynum; six grandchildren: Jeremy Afeld and wife Courtney, Jeffrey Afeld and wife Jessica, Patricia Hartloper and husband Adam, Stephanie Gahman, Amy West and husband Cody and Brandon Baker; eleven great grandchildren: Brody, Journey, Reese, Suri, Quincy, Tyler, Lexie, Ace, Oliver, Hadlee and Waylon; and multiple nieces and nephews.
