Raymond Cordell Burgess (also known as Butch to his family and many friends), 67, a Tulsa resident, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born in Tulsa on March 17, 1955 to Samuel Burgess and Mona Meek (formerly Burgess). Raymond served in the Navy and then spent most of his life in the manufacturing industry as a laser operator making parts. As a young man, he enjoyed hiking. He also enjoyed music, reading, playing guitar and Yahtzee.

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents and step father Jack Meek. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca "Becky" Burgess, three children: Jessica Burgess of Ohio, Alison Rammel-Burgess of Ohio and Daniel Walker and his girlfriend Destiny, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and four sisters: Mary Dutton and her husband, Robert, of Bristow, Oklahoma, Jacki Cornell and her husband, Casey, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jaymie Munchinski and her husband, Francis, of Plano, Texas, and Carmen Keathley and her husband, Brett, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is also survived by three grandchildren: James and Blair Rammel of Ohio, and Christian Burgess of Ohio.
