Raymond Merritt Canfield, born in Hallowell, Kansas on August 3, 1922 died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 4, 2017. His father, George Canfield and mother Bessie Elliot Canfield preceded him in death. He is survived by His sister, Clora Strouse of Wichita, Kansas and his wife Helen Wilcox Canfield of Tulsa. His living Children are son, Dennis R. Canfield, of Cleora, Oklahoma and wife Margaret A. Canfield, son Stanley P. Canfield and wife Kaherine A. Canfield of Creighton, Pennsylvania. His wife Mary Pauline Onion Canfield and daughter Claudia A. Canfield preceded him in death. He is also survived by his step children, Don Wilcox, Kathy Wilcox Mixon, and Sue Wilcox Davis. He has four Grandsons, Daniel Canfield, Zach Canfield, Stephen Canfield, Christopher Canfield and one Granddaughter, Claire Canfield. He also has one great granddaughter Abigail Canfield. He and Helen also have numerous grand children and great grand children.

Ray graduated High School in Columbus Kansas and is an Alumnae of University of Kansas. He went to work for Warren Petroleum, Gulf Oil as Director of Human Resources. He was active in the Tulsa Business Community.

Ray was a veteran of the Navy and served his Country in World War II. He was active in his Church, New Haven, Asbury, and Sand Springs Methodist and a man of deep faith. He enjoyed living at Montereau and attended the Warren Chapel.
