Reba Ritter Sikkink passed from our lives on June 25th, 2021.
Reba honored us with her presence on October 30th, 1921, born to Rufus and Ethel Ritter of Eliinwood, Kansas. She has been a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma the majority of her life.
Reba defined creative crafting well before it was trendy. From her homemade organizers to her picture frame decor, her home was always stunning. Her miniature designs were works of art. She was also very talented behind a sewing machine creating blue jeans teddy bears, doll clothes, quilts, horse show jackets, and decor. She was that person who went all out for every holiday. She was the best horse show mom, the best hangout spot, and everyone's best friend, even when she was telling you to "get over it". From being a bridge master to crossword puzzles to dominos to bingo to Pass The Pig to any card game, she enjoyed them all especially with family or sitting and sunning in the front window every morning. And, boy oh boy, was she a collector...Kewpies, Annalees, nativity scenes, rocks (yes, rocks), dolls (some of which were seriously creepy), Delftware, and even dead birds in the freezer. She was a terrible driver, barely could see over the dash, sloshed coffee everywhere, and took out curbs like a pro, but she was always on the go. She loved all critters, especially dogs and horses. She definitely got her jam on to Jazz, Christmas music, and Elvis. But, most of all, Reba was passionate about her family which includes her loving caregivers at Brookdale.
Reba is survived by her son, Paul Sikkink; daughters, Sharon Hudson (s. Mike) and Vivian Russell (s. Tim); six grandchildren Barbara Sikkink (s. Wade), Kristin Havlick (s. Dave), Roy Sikkink, Rachelle Prichard (s. Mark), Lisa Austin (s. Matt), and Justin Hudson (s. Rebecca); and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Sikkink; son, Roy Sikkink; mother, Ethel Ritter; and sister, Ruth Loveless.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Association For Frontotemporal Degeneration.
Funeral Service will be 10AM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK.
