Reid Dodson was born on Sunday, October 4, 1987 and passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022.

Reid was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, much to his utter dismay. Upon graduation from the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences, he attended the University of Tulsa where he majored in film, minored in creative writing, and nearly completed a second minor in philosophy. After receiving a bachelors degree, Reid went on to complete several film scripts and work as a production assistant on a variety of films and television shows. He briefly lived in South Carolina before heading to the opposite coast to pursue film in Los Angeles. Somehow he landed back in Oklahoma, once again to his utter dismay.

Growing up Reid played soccer, Magic, Marvel Hero Clix, and on-line gaming. As an adult he maintained his love of soccer by following TU soccer and European football with Liverpool being his favorite team. Reid loved film - watching a movie with him was a learning experience every time. He also enjoyed researching issues and the ensuing philosophical debates. His claim to fame is being "that guy" who works out for two hours in 100+ degree weather in the hottest part of the day. The best part of the day/week was when he could get outside and run or hike in nature. He loved to travel, visiting family in Bermuda, Minnesota, and Texas as well as going back to California to visit friends and vacationing with friends in Tennessee and Kentucky.

He is survived by his parents Jack and Cheryl Dodson, his brother and sister(in-law) Joseph and Krystal Dodson, his grandmother Helen Smith, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Reid was a kind, generous, insightful man with a loving heart. He was well-loved by all those who knew him. The world is a dimmer place without his unique spirit. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at Moore Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel.
