Reva Maxine Lierly, age 93, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on March 6, 1922 in Gentry, AR, to parents, Ebner and Eula Feaster. She grew up on the family farm through her school age years. After graduating from Gentry High School, she was a school teacher in a small one-room schoolhouse, teaching children from kindergarten through eighth grade. She also attended John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR. She married Tom Lierly in 1953 and spent the next 59 years as a loving and devoted wife and mother raising two sons. She and her husband, Tom, were founding members of South Lakewood Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK, where she served in numerous capacities throughout the church. Maxine was a loving daughter and sister, devoted and faithful wife, caring mother and grandmother, doting aunt, loyal friend and, most of all, a child of God. She leaves a legacy of a life well lived, devoted to God and family, and will be greatly missed.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Walker Lierly; her brothers, Virgil and Duane Feaster; and grandson, Garrett Lierly. She is survived by her son, Randy Lierly and wife, Cyndy of San Antonio, TX; son, Rex Lierly and wife, Trish Bonheyo of Oakland, CA; grandson, Ian Lierly and wife, Kimberly of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Lorene Gatrell of Siloam Springs, AR, Faye Sellers of Pensacola, FL, and Mona Feaster of Tulsa, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Moore's Eastlawn Funeral Home, 1908 S. Memorial, Tulsa, OK. 918-622-1155
Service will be on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at South Lakewood Baptist Church.
Interment will take place at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR, with graveside service at 3:00 P.M.
