Obituary

Richard Delano Amatucci, 81, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015. Richard was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 8, 1934 to Emil Amatucci and Lillian Storm. He graduated from Holy Family Cathedral School and attended the University of Oklahoma. After serving with the U.S. Army in Bamberg, Germany, Richard received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1965. He was also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He worked for the First National Bank & Trust Co. for four years and had his own private law practice for over 40 years.

Richard was an avid reader, particularly books on presidential history and politics. President Abraham Lincoln was a favorite subject of study. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Patsy, and they went to Egypt in 2000. He loved spending time with his family, including going to ball games, attending concerts, watching movies, and taking his grandsons to the zoo or to museums. He was a member of the St. Germain Foundation's "I AM Activity." Everyone who met him always remarked what a kind and gentle man he was.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter Anne Brooks and her husband, Lex, and their children, Charles and Nicolas; daughter Amy Amatucci; son John Amatucci and his wife, Macy; sister Ramona Amatucci; sister Shirley Connelly; sister Jeanette Taylor and her husband, Rick; niece Lisa Musgrove and her husband, Glen, and their children, Kyle and Keith; nephew Greg Connelly and his wife, Kelly, and their children, Colby and Zac; nephew Billy Conway; nephew Chad Conway and his children, Rylee and Chase; and niece Teresa Connelly and her son, Duncan. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Emil Amatucci and Lillian Storm Nelson, and his nephew, Brian Connelly.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Moore Memory Chapel, 1403 S. Peoria Avenue, Tulsa, OK.
