Obituary

Richard Earl Antle, also known as Dick Antle, was born February 9th, 1938. He was the first-born child of Earl and Veta Faye Winkle Antle. He transitioned to eternal life December 27, 2023, at the age of 85 years. Dick was raised in Tulsa, attended Lowell Elementary and Junior High. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1956. He joined the navy on July 1, 1957, and served in the Atlantic and Mediterranean aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid. Dick transferred to the naval reserves on Mar 31, 1961, and fulfilled his military obligation on June 30, 1963. Dick worked for a company that ran the Tulsa Airport Parking in the mid 1960's. He was manager of a parking lot the company had leased from the Doctor's Building at 21st and Lewis for many years. He called his position, "An Automotive Relocation Expert". He parked cars and helped those who needed to get into the building. Pretty much like a valet. The Doctors and all the people who worked there loved him as well as those who were regular patients. By the late 70's, early 80's, the doctors had sold the building and Dick went to work as a maintenance man at the Fontana Shopping Center on 51st and Memorial, where he increased his friendships throughout all the shops there. He worked there until his retirement, then worked part time at Broken Arrow Golf and Athletic Club, where he was a member.

Which brings us to Dick's greatest passion-GOLF! Outside of his mother and two sons, Dick had no greater love than playing golf. The stock-car races at the old fairground raceway ran a close third. Dicks favorite memories were his baseball days playing with the Tulsa Boys Home, Capshaw Corner, watching his sons play sports and of course traveling with his buddies to go golfing. Dick played every possible course he was allowed on in the Tulsa area and maybe some where he wasn't.

Dick had a total of 10 aunts and 14 uncles between his mom and dad. He had more cousins that he ever knew. He is survived by his son, Rick and wife Kelly. Grandchildren, Trent Worley and wife Ashlee, Tanner and wife Autumn, Taylor and wife Candace. Great grandchildren, Jaxon, Cash, Bodhi, McCartney and Ellis. Brother Terry Antle, and sister-in-law Patricia Antle, nieces Kim and Vanessa.

Dick was predeceased by his parents Earl and Veta Faye Antle, brothers, John and Lee. Son, Richard Neal Antle and two ex-wives, Agnes and Darlene.
