Richard Neil Curry, age 89, died peacefully in his home in Tulsa on September 3, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Richard was born on November 11, 1931 in Oklahoma City. He attended North Eastern State College and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. Later on, he attended The University of New Mexico where he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics degree. Richard was employed in New Mexico where he worked on various projects for the Atomic Energy Commission and later as a public school teacher. After moving to Tulsa, he worked for Williams Brothers Engineering for 12 years. Finally, he retired from Tulsa Public Schools after 11 years as a classroom teacher.

Richard enjoyed woodworking and Western movies. He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church. Richard is survived by his wife, Marilyn, one brother, Kenneth Curry of Golden, Colorado, one sister-in-law, Wilma Curry of Bentonville, Arkansas, his son David Curry and wife Janice of Broken Arrow, his stepsons Milton Kitchens, Jr. of Sand Springs and Stan Kitchens and wife Edie of Jenks, nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one brother, his first wife, Isla Jean, his sons Edwin and Richard.
