Richard Lynn Geiger passed away on January 4, 2013. He was born to H.E. and Lucile Geiger on May 12, 1942, in Tulsa, OK and graduated from Central High School. He earned an AAS from OSU-Okmulgee, a BS from Northeastern State University and taught industrial arts at East Central High School before eventually working in the heavy machinery field, where he spent the bulk of his career. Richard was Service Manager at Albert Equipment Co. for nine years and later founded three companies of his own including Equipment Parts, Inc., Richard Geiger Sales, and RCG Enterprises. In 2008, he retired from Memorial Machine after serving as General Manager for 19 years where he built a cadre of clients, employees, and co-workers who enjoyed his irreverent sense of humor and readiness to tell a joke or swap a hunting story. Personally and professionally Richard was known for his generosity, work ethic, integrity, and orneriness. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; son, Christopher, and grandson, Matthew. He is survived by his wife, Clara; four children: Mark & Lisa Brewer, Connie & Rex Smith, Kirk & Deleise Brewer, and Greg & Debbie Geiger; brother, Charles Geiger, and sister, Maryjane Matlock; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one nephew. Richard was a devoted husband, brother, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 8, at Tulsa Bible Church with family visitation 6-8 PM Monday at Moore?s Funeral Home, Southlawn. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
