Richard Judy, 82, of Tulsa, OK, passed away at his residence on Saturday, July 13, 2019. He was born on Tuesday, October 6, 1936, in Claremore, OK, to Lawrence Judy and Grover Cleveland (Smith) Judy. Richard was a patriot and proud to have served as a Technical Specialist 5 in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He was proud to have been a dedicated teacher in the public-school system for many years. After retiring from teaching in 1992, he spent his post-retirement years working various jobs, and spending time with family and friends. Richard was a member of Sheridan Christian Center, and enjoyed attending various church activities. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Marcia (Young) Judy; son, Kevin Judy and wife Kimberly of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Keri Judy of Tulsa, OK; 3 grandchildren, Alex Judy, Allyson Judy, and Aaron Judy; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Judy; and sister, Roberta Goodeagle. Richard will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
