He is preceded in death by his parents, Alma L Kritikos and Richard T Kritikos, both of Tulsa.
He is survived by his sister Pamela K Kritikos of Tulsa, several cousins on both sides of the family and many close friends.
Rick graduated high school from Memorial High in 1978, went on to OSU Tech where he achieved his degree in Electronics Technology in 1982.
At the time of his death, Rick was employed as an IT Analyst for the Muscogee Creek Nation, Office of Public Gaming. He took his job to heart, often butted heads with management when projects did not meet his exacting standards. His actions will be remembered for insisting on backing up data systems up for all the Tribe's interests, making sure backup generators at River Spirit in Tulsa were well above grade. These actions would later save the Tribe millions in downtime, very little loss of data and few loss of jobs.
Rick will be remembered by his friends and colleagues as a man of integrity above all else. The hero without a cape, the Boy Scout, the IT guru, the sarcastic and funny guy, the HAM radio enthusiast, best friend and beloved brother. Rick cherished these connections and always sought to be there for people in times of need. He was generous when he didn't have to be and always tried to see the good in people.
Rick had many health issues in recent years, but the fight he lost was with Prostate Cancer. The pain he endured is now at an end and he will be celebrated for the gentle, kind man he was.
