Richard M. Lee - dedicated husband, father, pop, brother, and friend of many - passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 84.

Richard was born to August and Helen Lee in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Will Rogers High School before attending the University of Tulsa where he studied business and was an active member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Richard also served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard for several years, including a short deployment.

Richard enjoyed a life-long career in banking, serving in many different roles. He began his career at First National Bank where he met some of his closest friends, then moved to Commercial Bank and ultimately retired in 2000 from Bank of America.

Through the years, Richard was an avid golfer and member of Oaks Country Club. In addition, he loved hunting and fishing with his friends. He had a passion for nature and wildlife and happily served as a member of NatureWorks. He was also a member of Redeemer Church for many years and enjoyed serving as an usher. Richard was known by many to have a feisty personality and loved spirited conversations with friends and family. He will be remembered for being an "expert" in all areas and dispensing one-line "tips" that we find humor in.

Richard is survived by his wife Jeanne (McGinnis), of 56 years, their children Karen Burk and Kathy (Mike) Garner; grandchildren, Courtney Burk, Emily Burk, Will Garner, Ben Garner; sister Linda Wells, and numerous extended family.

A family graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00am. Visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel on July 20th and 21st with a family greeting Friday the 21st from 5:00pm -7:00pm.

In his memory, donations can be made to Wild Heart Ranch, a non-profit wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization. Donations can be mailed, called, or sent online. Please include Richard's name on the donation.
