Obituary

Richard Thomas Riley, 88, passed away in his sleep at St. Johns Hospital on August 28, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born in Harrah, Oklahoma and was the only child of The Reverend Dewey Lee Riley and Corrine Morgan Riley. He was a devoted son, loving husband, father and grandfather.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served in the Air Force from 1952-1956. During that time, he was stationed for one year in Greenland as a Cryptographer with the highest security clearance and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern State University, Durant, Oklahoma. He received a Master's Degree from The University of Tulsa in Guidance and Counseling in 1969. His entire career was devoted to the education of students in Oklahoma as a teacher with the Public School system, where he taught Science.
Richard was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Teresa Deann Riley of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughters Sheridan Kay Riley and Elizabeth Ann Riley, both of Edmond, Oklahoma; and granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth Castleberry, of Brooklyn, New York.
Viewing will be 10AM-8PM, Friday, August 31, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. A graveside service will be held, as he requested, to send him to heaven on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
