Obituary

Richard Dean Wilkinson, 80, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Wilkinson, and their three children: Shannon Wilkinson Odor and her husband, Ray Odor; Lori Wise and her husband, Brent Wise; and Christopher Wilkinson and his wife, Jaye Wilkinson.

His greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his grandchildren, Gabrielle Reagan and her husband, Wayde Reagan; Jacob Wise and his wife, Kendra Wise; Grace Goad and her husband, Noah Goad; Ava Wilkinson; Case Wilkinson; and Grant Odor and his wife, Preslee Odor. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Mason Wise, Gibson Wise, Hudson Wise, Molly Reagan, Henry Reagan, and Maggie Reagan. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Wilkinson and his wife, Judy Wilkinson, and was a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Richard retired in 2013 from Unarco Industries, where he served as Vice President of Sales. His career took him around the world, traveling internationally as a representative of the company and building relationships with people wherever his work took him.

While Richard was accomplished professionally, his deepest passion was his faith. He loved studying the Bible and sharing what he learned with others. He faithfully taught Sunday School classes and participated in men's Bible studies, where he enjoyed encouraging others in their faith and building meaningful relationships.

Richard had a generous heart and a special compassion for those in need. He volunteered many hours at the First Baptist Caring Center, serving Tulsa's downtown homeless population. Helping others was not simply something he did-it was an expression of the faith he lived.

Richard also loved the simple joys of life. Some of his happiest memories were made on family trips to the beaches of Florida. He was a passionate Oklahoma Sooner and New York Yankees fan and enjoyed both playing and watching golf. But above all of these things, Richard was most proud of his family. His greatest legacy will be the love, faith, wisdom, and memories he leaves with the many people who were fortunate enough to know him.

Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. His life was a testament to the importance of faith, family, service, and loving others well.
