Obituary

Willhour, Richard William, was born December 10, 1924, Tulsa, OK., to Alla Ruth(Wynn) & Ralph M. Willhour. Richard died November 1, 2024, at the age of 99. He was known by Dick to all his friends. Dick and his brother were raised in a loving Christian home. He graduated from Will Rogers High School and enrolled in the University of Tulsa. In 1944 he served in the US Army assigned to the 100th Infantry Division as a machine gunner. Wounded in France, he was awarded a Purple Heart and also received the Combat Infantryman Badge. He married Margaret Rosalie Brown on August 24, 1946. They were lifelong members of First Christian Church downtown Tulsa, where Dick has volunteered for many years handing out snack packs to those in need. He owned and managed Pennant Petroleum Company which was a DX Sunoco jobber. Dick's highest priority in life was his family. He loved spending time with grandchildren attending school activities, sporting events, musical programs and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Rosalie, his parents Ruth, Ralph and brother, Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Susan and husband Charles McKee of Bixby, son, Rick Willhour, his wife, Lisa, of Inola, and daughter, Sandra and husband Jim Freeman of Tulsa. Grandchildren: Richard Willhour III, his wife, Allison, Wesley Freeman, his wife, Lindsey, Travis Willhour, his wife Sarah, Rick McKee, Damon Freeman, his wife, Kelli, Rachel, her husband Ty Gilmore. Great Grandchildren, Kate Margaret Gilmore, Will Willhour, Cutter Willhour, Beckett Freeman, Sage Freeman, Henry Willhour, Charlotte Willhour, Taylor Bradshaw & David Bradshaw.

In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to First Christian Church, please designate to "Snack Pack Ministry". Service 10 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, First Christian Church, 913 South Boulder, Tulsa, OK.
