Baird, Rita Lavern, 90 of Catoosa passed away Thursday, October 19th, 2017. She was born May, 28th, 1927 in San Francisco, CA to Manuel and Helen Gomes. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball team and she was the care giver for her grandson. Rita is survived by her children Chris Baird of Hulbert, OK and Tom Baird and his wife Cinda of Chouteau; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Linda Tackett and Kathleen Taylor; her grandsons, Michael Venable and Chris McBurnett; her brothers, Chris Gomes, Alvin Gomes and Kenneth Gomes; her sisters, Lorraine Stanley and Louise McAuliff.
