Rita Ann Cook passed away peacefully with her loving husband Tom by her side the morning of April 02, 2022 at her home in Tulsa. She was born July 25, 1949 in Centralia, Illinois to parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Swaim (Mitchell).

You were never a stranger long if you had the good fortune to meet Rita. She treated everyone like family and drew you in with her beautiful smile and laid-back personality. Many times she'd run into someone she'd went to school with or a blast from the past and she'd strike up a conversation like you'd never parted. Her kids describe her as a wholesome, soulful, charming, selfless, loving, and compassionate person. Rita was always up to spend time with family and friends whether it was bingo, karaoke, or living it up at the racetrack she was enjoying life. You would rarely catch Rita out and about without her hair fixed and her makeup looking on point. Even as Rita battled cancer her last year, she had a zest for life, and never showed just how bad her day was because she was more concerned about everyone else.

She is survived by her loving family: husband Tommy Cook, her three children Greg Trimble, Russell Trimble (wife, Rhonda), and Crystal Cook; grandchildren Brandon Trimble, Brittany Trimble, Kimberly Trimble, Kelsey Scott, Chance Trimble, and Donelle Trimble, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, and many nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date to give Rita the party on earth they know she's having in heaven.
