Rita Frances Zilch Fawcett Martine, 95, a resident of Montereau Retirement Community in Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on August 22, 2016.
Born in St Louis, Missouri on March 11, 1921 to Arch and Zoe Zilch, Rita was raised in their home with her three brothers, a sister and four cousins. She attended Rosati-Kain Catholic High School and in 1944 she married Joseph Hardcastle Fawcett, Jr. Together they raised three sons, Bob, Tom, and Joe in the home that Joseph built himself in Jennings, Missouri. Joseph passed away in 1986. In 1993, Rita married James Leon Martine, Jr and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. Jim passed away in 2007 and she moved to Tulsa to be close to her son, Tom, and his family.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law Bob (Linda), Tom (Patsy), and Joe (Frances-Kaye), one brother Eugene Zilch (Rosemary), a step-son James Martine Jr. (Norma) and a step-daughter Mary Martine Simmonds (Russell). She had 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and proudly kept photos of each one of them in her home.
She lived a good and holy life, and now she has been called to be with God. We will miss her.

The Rosary, followed by a reception will be held at Montereau at 7:00pm on Thursday, August 25. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of St. Mary at 11:30 on Friday, August 26. She will be interred next to her beloved first husband, Joe, at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00AM on Monday, August 29.
