Obituary

Robert Edward Anthony was born on April 28, 1937. He passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018.

Robert was born at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK. His parents, William Bruce Anthony II and Louise Click Anthony preceded him in death.

Robert was married 53 years to Donna Lou Roztocil Anthony from July 5, 1958 until her death February 24, 2011.

He is survived by his two children: Laura K. Anthony of Tulsa and his son, John M. Anthony and his two precious granddaughters Alexandra Lee and Amy Joanne of Little Rock, AR.

He is also survived by his brother, William Bruce Anthony the III and his wife, Carolyn Anthony as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins in addition to his beloved brother-in-law, George D Gallaspy and his wife, Joanne of Oklahoma City.

"Bob" was a vivacious, charismatic and thoughtful man. He had a quick wit and an infectious laugh. He was a always a gentleman and a loving son, brother, husband, father, friend and coworker.
His love of Christ and his church was central to his life. He had many hobbies. He loved to read, fish, play golf, and spend time with his family and helping others.

Bob was employed with Skelly Oil in Tulsa, OK as an accountant in 1964. He and Donna and their 3 month old, Laura, moved to Overland Park, Kansas with Skelly Oil in 1965 until 1972.
He then moved the family back to Tulsa in 1972 to work with the Skelgas Division of Getty Oil as their VP of Marketing.
Bob was active in the National Propane Gas Association, serving on their board of directors as well their market development committee.
He served on many committees associated with his industry and with his church.

He and his wife, Donna moved to Houston in 1987 to finish out his career at an independent propane company and later ran their insurance subsidiary.

Bob moved back to Tulsa in June 2012 and reconnected with many old friends, including his special friend, Beth Webb. He made many new dear friends and loved and felt as if he'd known them his whole life.

Bob's presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

"Well done thou good and faithful servant." We rejoice that you are in the arms of Christ and His angels.


Memorial Serivce will be held 11am, Wednesday August 1st, 2018 at Park Plaza Church of Christ, 5925 East 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
