Robert G. Batchelor was born January 1, 1943, in Stroud, OK. He passed away on August 19, 2025, in Tulsa, OK. Preceded in death by his parents Rupert Grady Batchelor, and Juanita Mae Batchelor, loving wife Nancy May Batchelor, Sister June Hiburn, and Brother Carey Batchelor.

Survived by his three daughters Pam Williams and husband Roger, Angie Simpson and husband Ed, Cassie Roberts, and husband Gary, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Patty Hixon, and brother Steve Batchelor.

Robert was baptized at First Christian Church in Stroud, OK at age 12. Graduated from Stroud High School in 1961, attended Murray State College before joining the US Air Force in 1963 and Robert was honorably discharged in 1967. After the Air Force Robert became an electrician working most of his career at Oil Capital Electric in Tulsa, OK and retired from Johnson Controls in Tulsa, OK in 2005 making lifelong friends throughout his career.

Robert's passion and hobby was creating beautiful wood boxes in his workshop giving them away to friends and family so many we lost count. Robert enjoyed being outside feeding the birds and squirrels and tending to his rose and tomato gardens. Robert never hesitated to help anyone in need. Robert was a wonderful father, grandpa, neighbor, and friend.

Robert's last years were met with much courage, strength, and dignity as he battled Alzheimer's with the help of his loving daughters by his side, along with many passionate support caretakers from BeeHive Homes of Glenpool, and SYNERGY HomeCare.


Viewing for Robert will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM till 8:00 PM and visitation with family present will be from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145.


Graveside services will be private for the family only.
