Robert E. "Bob" Cartner, Sr., 88, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born July 29, 1929 in Osage County, Oklahoma to Emmett Clinton Cartner and Dora (Brumley) Cartner. Bob retired in 1980 as a Tulsa Police Officer. Following his retirement from the police force, he worked for many years as a Legal Investigator for the City of Tulsa Legal Department.

Bob was predeceased by his loving wife, Virgie Cartner in 2015 and daughters, Martha Jane Cartner and Patricia Ann Johnson. He is survived by sons: Robert E. Cartner, Jr. and his wife, Lora, of Skiatook, OK, Timothy A. Cartner and his wife, Pam of Tulsa, OK; daughters, Karen L. Cartner of Sapulpa, OK and Beth Cartner of Tulsa, OK.

Bob Cartner will lie in state on Monday, April 9, 2018 from noon-8pm. The funeral service will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Reception following service at the FOP Lodge, 12512 E. 21st, Tulsa, OK. The graveside will be 1PM, Thursday at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mena, AR. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association, 2227 E. Skelly Drive, Tulsa, OK 74105 and/or Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133.
