Robert L. (Bob) Morgan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at Clarehouse end of life care facility in Tulsa on December 8, 2015.
Bob was born September 29, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Michigan seven years later. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI., with a degree in marketing and advertising. He began his distinguished career at J. Walter Thompson advertising agency in Detroit in 1961. During his 38 years in the advertising and marketing business, he held senior positions in Michigan and California at Young & Rubicam, Visual Services, Mitsubishi Motors and Cunningham & Walsh. He also served in the Air Force Reserve in Michigan from 1962-1967.
After moving to Tulsa and retiring, Bob turned his passion for caring and kindness to volunteer work for numerous charitable, civic and religious organizations. His favorite times were being with his family and friends, traveling and reading a good book.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Carolyn; his brother, Richard, and nephew Thomas. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Susan, his adored children and grandchildren, daughter Lisa Roper, son-in-law Eric Roper, grandchildren Kirk and Cory Roper, daughter Jennifer Morgan, grandchildren Taylor, Spenser and Brooke Peterson, daughter Rachael Roper and son-in-law Chris Roper - (two sisters married two brothers); siblings Carol Copland, her husband Pat; Janet Goulet and her husband Walt, John Morgan and wife Eileen, brother Wes Morgan; 22 nieces and nephews and their children, and the Smith family niece, two nephews, grandnephew and grandniece.
A viewing will be held at Moore Funeral Home on 51st St. in Tulsa Friday, December 11, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A pre-service luncheon will be held at Christ Church Episcopal, 10901 S. Yale Ave., Tulsa, at 12:30 on Saturday, December 12. All family and friends are welcome. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 in the church. Following the service, Bob will be interred at Floral Haven Mausoleums.
