Rev. Robert L. Brandon, 91, of Sand Springs, OK, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 20, 1977, at Oak Dale Manor, Sand Springs, OK. He was born on Wednesday, July 7, 1886, to Carter Brandon and Oregon (Allen) Brandon. Rev. Brandon was married to Jennie (Baker) Brandon, and an Assemblies of God minister for 45 years at churches in Oklahoma; including, Sand Springs, Poteau, Talihina, Henryetta, Cleveland and Skiatook. He is survived by 2 daughters, Golda Simmon and Gladys Berry, both of Tulsa, OK; 3 sons, Buford Brandon and R. L. Brandon, both of Tulsa, OK, and Arvel Brandon of Sand Springs, OK; 12 grandchildren; and a lifetime of congregants and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Jennie. Rev. Brandon will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
