Obituary

Robert "Bruce" Cunha, age 76, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.

Bruce lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and quiet strength. He spent many years working as a skilled butcher and was a proud member of the UFCW Union. He also served as an employee of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Bruce believed in showing up, working hard, and taking care of the people he loved, and he carried that sense of responsibility with him throughout his entire life.

After the passing of his beloved wife, Linda, Bruce showed incredible strength and love by dedicating himself to raising his two daughters, Denise and Cindy. He was their steady presence, always there with support, guidance, and unconditional love. Later in life, one of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather to Owen, who meant the world to him and brought him endless pride and happiness.

Bruce found happiness in the simple things. He loved traveling across the United States, spending time outdoors hunting, and sharing his love of science fiction and classic muscle cars with friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh. He will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and the way he cared deeply for the people in his life.

He is survived by his sister, Ann Birch; daughters, Denise McKay (Matthew McKay) and Cindy Cunha; grandson, Owen McKay; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held in June 2026 in Southern California, with more details to come.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society in Bruce`s memory.
