Robert "Bob" DeGroot was born in Muskegon, MI on January 7, 1946, to Cornelius and Eva DeGroot.

Bob married the love of his life, Donna, on June 6, 1968. They celebrated 53 years this summer.

Bob was a longstanding member of Eastland Baptist Church, Tulsa, OK. He was involved in the choir, taught children's Sunday School, and an AWANA leader/game director though his years with Eastland. His love of God and of his church encouraged him to stay active in the congregation.

He not only was highly active in the church he also owned and ran his own business. He was always on the go but never missed a chance to make someone smile or laugh. Bob was always ready with a story or a joke to tell.

When he wasn't working or volunteering with the church, during specific season, you could find Bob in his camo with rifle in hand waiting for a deer.

Most of all Bob loved his family and was extremely proud of each and everyone!

On Friday, August 13, 2021, surrounded by loved ones Bob passed away. He was preceded by his parents, Cornelius and Eva. Bob is survived by his wife, Donna DeGroot; son, Jeremy DeGroot; daughter, Melissa Kinsey; five grandsons and five granddaughters. What a great legacy left to carry on the great memories of Bob!

He never knew a stranger and would quickly make friends with all that he would meet. He now has so many new people to befriend and many old friends to catch up on old times.
