DOZIER, Robert Allen (Bob), 87, passed away, Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Born in El Reno, OK on June 16, 1926 to Harvey & Marcella Dozier. Bob grew up in El Reno and upon graduation joined
the Navy in 1944. He served in the Navy Seabees from 1944-1946 and was
involved in the invasion of Okinawa. Upon his honorable discharge
from the Navy, he attended Oklahoma State University and graduated
in 1950 with a bachelor of science (Major-Economics, and Minor in Geography).
Following graduation from OSU, he moved to Bartlesville, OK and started
his 33-year career with Cities Service Oil Company. Bob married
Jimmie Louise Dyer on February 20, 1959 (55 years). He retired from
Cities Service Oil Company in 1982 and was in the business of buying
and selling cattle until approximately 2010.
Bob loved to play bridge, square dance, camp and fish. Very active
Member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Bob was also a 32nd Degree Mason of
the Scottish Rite and Member of the Akdar Shrine.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jimmie; son, Martin and wife, Annette
of Midland, TX; daughter, Janis and husband, Chris of Salem, OR; brother,
Wendell of Branson, MO; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild. He is
Preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Gene Dozier and Richard Dozier.
Visitation will be 3-5 P.M., Sunday, March, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 10, 2014 at
Asbury United Methodist Church-Mason Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions
may be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital, , 3100 Samford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103.
