Robert Dean (Walker) Eastland, Sr., aged 82, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on March 28, 1943 to proud parents LeRoy Walker and Mary Clara Jane Easland in Tulsa, Robert lived a full and vibrant life that left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Robert proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army, dedicating himself to both active duty and reserve service. His commitment to his nation was a testament to his sense of duty and honor.
Known for his infectious humor and gift for great conversation, Robert had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He was also a skilled mechanic whose talents were appreciated by many over the years.
Robert is survived by his loving family, including his children Donnie and Dorothy Checotah; Robert Jr. and LaRhonda Eastland; Leah Todd; Angela (Eastland) Jones; Edward Eastland; Patricia Eastland; and Glory Johnson (deceased). He was a proud grandfather to Samantha, Ronnie, Leayah, Robert III, Robin, Ronita, Shawn, Etonno Jr., Audrianna, Brittaney, Leenay, Kiera, Lorenzo, Timothy, Joseph, Cleon, and Myona.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Ulysses D. Pero, Maurice Walker, and Jerrell Walker. Their memories remain cherished within the hearts of those who loved them.
Robert's legacy of humor, skillful hands as a mechanic, and warm conversations will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to all who mourn his passing.
