Robert "Rob" Johnson was born on February 2nd, 1945, in Borger, Texas to Frank E. Johnson and Jean Ann Johnson (Hutchinson). He died on October 15th, 2022 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 77. Rob was reared and educated in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He graduated with the Bartlesville "Wildcat" Class of 1963. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration. He earned an additional Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He held an A&P Certification and retired as a mechanic from American Airlines. He was a veteran of the armed forces, serving his country honorably with the United States Army. Rob was married on June 24, 1967, to Lynn Lapp of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma following an active duty tour in Vietnam. Rob attended the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK. He enjoyed a variety of pastime activities including motorcycle racing, vintage car collecting, reading, and golf. He enjoyed his time as a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and as a volunteer for a local animal rescue group.
Rob is survived by: his loving wife of 55 years, Lynn Johnson; sister Barbara Tyler of Littleton, Colorado; brother Richard Johnson (Nancy) of Goldendale, Washington; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, many longtime friends, and his beloved rescue dog, Biscuit. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank E. Johnson and Jean Johnson (Hutchinson) of Estes Park, Colorado.
There will be a Memorial Service held at 1pm on Wednesday, October 26th at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, 1301 S Boston Ave, Tulsa, OK. The service will be Live Streamed at

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Rob's memory be made to an animal rescue group, or any other charitable organization of the donor's choosing.
