Bob graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and from Baylor University. He served four years in the US Navy during the Korean conflict.

He retired from Shell Oil Company, after a long career as a Credit Supervisor. After retiring, he rejoined the workforce as a School Crossing Guard for the Tulsa Public Schools.
He enjoyed traveling abroad with family and friends, backpacking, farming, beekeeping, raising chickens, fishing, trapping, hunting, and participating in parades. He later moved to the GO YE VILLAGE Senior Apartments in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he volunteered, played cards and socialized with his friends. His laughter and smile were contagious too many.
