Robert Lee McClendon Jr., was born November 6, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Robert McClendon & Dorothy McClendon.

He was reared in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Public School. He was class of 1977. He met the Lord at a young age and United with In Christ Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Charles & Donna Young.

He met the love of his life in 1995, Danette Turner the couple welcomed the life of a son, Robert Lee Turner. Robert later met Latonya Norma and the couple were blessed with a son, Akiyah McClendon.

Robert was employed by Tulsa World and later became entrepreneur in his own cleaning business until he could no longer work.

Robert was a pure soul and was loved by all who knew him. You could always find him on the grill at all the family barbeques.

On Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 12:07am, Robert answered his Heavenly Father's call at Hillcrest Medical Center. He will be missed by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy McClendon; three sister, Denisal, Debra and Dorothy McClendon and one grandchild.

He Leaves to Cherish. A Special Friend, Dannette Turner (Tulsa, OK), three sons, Joseph Turner, Robert Turner & Akiyah McClendon, three sister, Linda Lovett (Leroy) of Okmulgee, OK, Gwen McClendon & Barbara McClendon both of Dallas, TX, three brother, Donald Washington, LaCount McClendon & Kevin McClendon - all of Tulsa, OK, two great aunts - Sally Simmons - Kansas City, MO & Louise Starr - Tulsa, OK. Along with a host of nieces, nephew and friends. To God be the Glory For the Things He Hath Done.
