Robert Noble Brooks (Bob/Paw) stepped from this life into glory on November 25, 2025, at the age of 72. Bob was a devoted husband, grandpa, brother, hard worker, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on October 8, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to loving parents John and Marie Brooks, Bob was the middle child in a close-knit family of three brothers and two sisters. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1971.
Bob and Paula were married in September 22, 1972 and began their family soon after. Bob spent most of his career in the electrical field as a purchasing agent at Wiley Davis Electrical and later finished his career at Midtown Electric working for Dennis Henry-a blessing Bob and Paula always described as "just God."
Fridays were special for Bob and Paula. Getting off work at noon meant one thing: pack the car and head to the lake. Countless weekends were spent on Hinds Point at Grand Lake on wave runners and boats, trolling for sand bass at the lighthouse or jumping waves behind the big boats.
Bob also devoted time to coaching his kids' soccer teams. He coached his son Todd's teams for years, but specifically BA Elite from 1985-1986 and later his grandson Preston's BA Elite from 2014-2021 alongside his daughter Tiffany. Bob coached defense-and he always said, "Good defense and speed win ball games."
Bob and Paula loved traveling together. They experienced many cruises through the Caribbean, explored Alaska and Canada, and even made it to Europe. But their favorite trips were often the simple ones-driving from state to state to watch Tiffany's college tennis team, sharing long conversations and plenty of laughs along the way.
A lifelong race car fan, Bob grew up spending weekends at Tulsa Speedway. As a kid, he could collect enough pop bottles to buy a 50-cent ticket. He later got to drive a car at Texas Motor Speedway with Paula and Tiffany cheering him on, attended a race with Tyler, and enjoyed Kansas Motor Speedway with Preston. Bob also loved to fish. Though he eventually became quite good, he and Tiffany once spent an entire tournament on Hudson Lake, from 8:00 to 3:00, without catching a single fish-something they laughed about for years.
Known for his warm smile, kind heart, unwavering faith, and gift of gab, Bob never missed an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. No matter where Bob and Paula went, Bob always ran into someone he knew. Bob was also a significant blood donor for the American Red Cross. He donated every date they allowed.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Atherton Brooks; his sister, Denny Brooks; and his brothers, Mike Brooks (Sammie) and Ray Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Paula "PJ"; his children, Todd (Jan) Brooks and Tiffany (Gary) Carter; his grandchildren, Tyler (Gracie) Brooks and Preston Carter; and his precious great-granddaughter, Ellington Rae Brooks. He is also survived by his brother, Dwight Boman (Karen); his sister, Jane Piercy (Jon); and many nieces and nephews.
Bob will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love, kindness, humor, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all he touched.
