Robert (Bob) Walter Rausch was born July 23, 1929 in Lemont, Illinois to Constance (Kravish) Rausch and Nickolaus Rausch. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst, IL in 1947. He served in the US Army from 1951-1953. He met his loving wife of 67 years, Frances (Jane) Acker, while he was stationed at Fort Sill. Upon discharge from the Army, Bob returned to his college studies at Loyola of Chicago. He and Jane were married December 21, 1953 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Lawton, OK. They lived in Elmhurst until their return to Lawton to help Jane's father harvest his wheat crops. They remained in Lawton, and Bob began working for an accounting firm. He passed his CPA exam in 1960, after moving to Tulsa to work for the IRS. Bob later joined the private accounting firm of Charlie Parker & Co. In 1979 Bob became a founding partner of Magee, Rausch and Shelton, CPAs, where he remained until retirement in 1997. He enjoyed many life-long friendships and hobbies, and was active in men's club and the choir at Church of the Madalene, where he was a faithful parishioner for more than 60 years. The family would like to offer our deep appreciation to the dedicated Prairie House Memory Care staff members who cared for "Sweet Bob" with great love, compassion and skill. Bob is survived by their children: Rob Rausch (Sandee), Connie Phillips (David) and Camille Rausch Zumwalt. He is survived by grandchildren Rob Phillips (Katie), Mary Chelf (Clint) and Nick Rausch; and great granddaughters Chloe and Patterson. Friends may contribute locally to 12 and 12 Foundation, or H.O.W. Foundation. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, December 7 at 10am at Church of the Madalene.
