Obituary

Robert (Bob) R. Reis, Sr. died is in his native home of Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Oct. 12th, 2022.
Bob was born at Saint John's Hospital in Tulsa on March 13, 1939.

Bob graduated from Central High School in 1957 and attended the University of Oklahoma, where graduated with a BA and Juris Doctorate.

He served in the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps for four years, first as a defense attorney at Fort Hood and then as an attorney addressing nuclear security matters at the Killeen Base Defense Atomic Support Agency. He joined the the Army Reserves in 1969, serving for 22 more years before retiring as Lieutenant Colonel in 1990.

Bob, a natural gas liquids and processors lawyer, worked for Cities Service, the Occidental Petroleum Corporation, and Trident NGL, serving the latter as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal Affairs. Bob also served as General Counsel for the Gas Processors Association Midstream/GPSA for over 20 years

In 1995, Bob opened his own private practice in Tulsa, branching into other areas of legal counsel, and as a mediator and arbitrator. He practiced law for more than 50 years as a member of the Oklahoma, Texas and American Bar Associations.

Bob served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church, Board of Directors at Phillips Theological Seminary (playing an instrumental role in opening its University of Tulsa campus), and as a Reading Buddy through the Partners in Education Program at All Souls Unitarian Church

Bob's legacy of compassionate, joyful living continues through the lives by his beloved wife of 60 years, the Reverend Doctor Linda M. Reis; his three children � Karen Reis Harned of Arlington, Virginia, R. Richard Reis, Jr. of Tulsa, and Kathryn Bennett Reis of Asheboro, North Carolina; and his four grandchildren � Aubrey and William Harned and Seneca and Lorna Mooney
