Obituary

Robert Scott Slater passed away on November 20 at the age of 35. Robert was born on March 16th 1985 in Tulsa. Robert's father was Wesley Richard Slater II. Robert is survived by his mother Kathleen Watson and his brother Wesley Richard Slater III. Robert was also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends which are so numerous in numbers that it would take a book to list them all. But knowing Robert, he would not want to leave anyone out of the list. Robert attended Edison High School and Tulsa Community College.

Robert was an event coordinator and enjoyed being able to contribute to providing various events for his community. His favorite events were concerts where people gathered to have fun and enjoyed watching people being with their friends. He especially enjoyed hearing their laughter. He also enjoyed providing the special events in peoples lives like weddings, graduations, non-profit sponsored fundraisers for charities and people in need, and any event someone requested. He was a "people person."

He cherished being with his large family members at the "family farm". He enjoyed camping, some fishing, and just being in nature when he could. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, water skiing, boat rides, and generally anything that could go fast! He also enjoyed close intimate time with his friends and family discussing the "important" things in life. Robert's special gift was comforting people when they were hurting or in need. He will be dearly missed by many.
