Robert "Bob" Eugene Staggs Sr. passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Saturday, August 5th, 2023 peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born October 18, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dorothy (Collum) and L.E. Staggs.

Bob was a pastor's son and became a pastor at a young age. He was the founding pastor of Trinity Assembly of God church in Kilgore, Texas before becoming an Assembly of God missionary to Senegal, West Africa and then Nice, France where he helped start the first Christian television in Europe. He served as pastor of several other churches over the years and recently spent 5 years as a minister for an over 55 community in Burleson, TX. He loved The Lord with all his heart and faithfully served Him his whole life all the way to the end even witnessing to the hospital and hospice staff before he passed away last week.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Ron Lee.

He is survived by his wife Joan Staggs; son, Robert Staggs, Jr & companion Tanya, daughter, Teresa Graff & husband Gary, daughter, Julie Sass & husband Joe, Grandchildren, Robert Stone & wife Shannon, Rachel Barsha & husband Joe, Aubrey Whaley III & wife Stephanie, Daniel Sass, Jonel Pendleton & husband Sawyer, Vanessa Varvil & husband Trevor, Kristen Miller & husband Tim, Erin Clark & husband Zack, Kyle Lee & wife Miranda , and Samantha Lee, 17 great grand children, Brother, Ernest Staggs Sr & wife Lola : 2 nephews Ernest Staggs Jr & wife Karen , Louis Staggs & wife Jamie.

His viewing will be Tuesday, August 15th from 5-8pm. The funeral service, officiated by Roger Hoffpowier, will be at 10am, Wednesday , August 16th both of these will be at Moore Funeral Home, 9350 East 51st , Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. There will be a short procession to Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa to entomb him in his mausoleum.
