Joe Stroud, 76, long-time resident of Wagoner, OK, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2018, in Tulsa, OK. He was born on Tuesday, December 8, 1942, in Tulsa, OK, to Bill Burt Stroud and Margaret Alice (Grayson) Stroud. Joe was proud to have served in the United States Army. He was married to Patricia "Pattie" Anne (Weaver) Stroud, who preceded him in death on Thursday, February 14, 2013, in Coweta, OK. They were owners of Stroud Enterprises, a sandblasting and painting company in Tulsa, OK, and after retiring, Joe was head of maintenance at Whitehorn Cove Marina in Wagoner, OK. Joe was an avid fisherman, and he also enjoyed stock car racing, and rebuilding golf carts. Joe was a kind, caring, man that was always there with a helping hand for family or friends. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Pennie Turner of Tulsa, OK; 4 grandchildren, Angie Hale, T. J. Turner, Leslie Turner, and Jesse Turner; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Leann Smith. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Burt Stroud; stepson, Tony Giddens; and a lifetime of friends. Joe will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
